Andrea began dancing in the late 1990's. She took her first class on a whim with a friend and was hooked. The music drew her in, and the jingling hip scarves and sparkly costumes were a great bonus. She traveled to other cities and states for weekend and weeklong workshops, and finally made it to Cairo in 2005. After more than 15 years of visiting Egypt, Andrea is still thrilled to visit Cairo. She finds the people there to be warm, welcoming, and happy to help.

So how did the company get the name of Neenee's Imports? As a performer Andrea danced under her own name, so there wasn't a stage name to use for her import business. Andrea's family has always called her Annie, but as a toddler she couldn't pronounce it and called herself Neenee. When it came time to name the business she wanted something personal, and Neenee was the perfect fit.
